ECOGEO: A Tool to Assess the Socio-Economic Impacts of Geographic Information.

Today, geographic information is everywhere and for everyone. Progressively integrated to increasingly varied and friendly technologies, this computerized geography, or “geomatics”, has become a key component of an ever-growing number of sectors of activity (business, leisure, transport, security, etc).

There are only few studies documenting the socio-economic impacts of geomatics, which yet necessitates to be fully understood so as to make strategic choices in this field.
